About
Masayuki Tsunematsu
A Sapporo-based drummer who uses an authentic drumming style to convey Japanese tradition in a modern way.
His duo work with the Tsugaru shamisen "COLOSSEUM" has frequently ranked in overseas charts.
His latest work is a drum solo piece "Colors of Drums".
He is currently active mainly in the "Colors of Drums project," which is a collaboration with various musicians based on drum solos, and the "Japanese Jazz project," which combines traditional Japanese music with jazz.
